Hello, 2020

This year has already been flying by- it is already the 8th (crazy).

This year we have already traveled across 4 states, launched a new company, had a few dinner parties (and broke a chandelier), made new keto recipes and enjoyed Max being home every day (which changes today, boo!).

We had a blast at my parents cabin and our ski day was incredible. Max got me a new snowboard for Christmas, and I had NO idea the difference it would make. We had the best day, laughing, drinking, and using toe warmers.

When we got back to the cabin, my brother and his friends thought they were playing a practical joke on Max and I that would stretch far beyond our stay in Colorado. Unlucky for them, I was on to them in a second. When we were trying to find a name for Crunch, my brother threw out the name Toast, which is ridiculous, so it wasn’t even considered. While we were skiing, they made a “Toast” dog tag and swapped out the two hoping it would take us forever to notice. Max admits he never would’ve noticed, but it was the first thing I saw… #fail. Maybe next time, boys. The worst part was we didn’t change it back immediately, and now, he is still Toast. Shoot.

The Colorado Rockies really have the key to my heart. If I didn’t hate being cold so much, I would’ve considered staying another week. Luckily, we had the Jeep, because we got caught in a bit of a blizzard on the way home, but it made for some pretty pictures, so I won’t complain.

This week is back to work for both of us and we are hitting it hard. I feel like I haven’t pried myself away from my computer which has actually been really nice. Like I said somewhere in this blog sometime ago, I thrive when I am busy. A lot of the value and self worth I give myself is based on my hard work and success, so I really enjoy being back in the saddle.

Anyways, I’m off to finish dinner (yay) and clean the house… before the house cleaners come. Every busy mama knows that one! And reminisce on the picture below..
